Private tutoring is the most effective and efficient way to tackle your academic goals. Unlike large, impersonal tutoring companies that use a generic approach for every student, we cater to each individual’s learning style and accommodate for unique strengths and weaknesses.  Whether we are going over test taking strategies, problem solving techniques, or homework questions, our goal is simple: to motivate, increase confidence, and lead students to academic success.

Our Approach

We help students find the confidence they need to make the most of the learning process by supporting their strengths and addressing their unique needs.  By adding a bit of goofiness we transform the tutoring session from an unpleasant chore into a lighthearted learning experience associated with positive thoughts.  We believe that uninspired tutors are ineffective, so our sessions are fun and lively, and designed to motivate students to achieve greatness.

The main goal of tutoring is to teach students how to learn. We teach strategically rather than merely showing the steps needed to solve a problem. Our tutors follow the College Reading and Learning Association’s philosophy of promoting independence in learning and facilitating tutee insights into learning and learning processes.  This way, the student gains a richer experience at school and practices effective self-study throughout his or her educational career.

Through the tutoring process, our students discover the aspects of academics that excite them and conquer the concepts that frustrate them. By harnessing our students’ strengths and improving their weaknesses, we help them become lifelong and passionate learners!

Locations

We offer in-home tutoring in Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, El Segundo, Torrance, Palos Verdes, and nearby areas.  Online tutoring is also available.
